First surprise: my book is done! Second surprise: I have a literary agent!
Last week I signed an offer of representation with The Bent Agency for my works and I cried like a BABY — I needed to start this with the clearest sentence to indicate just how intense this decision was for me.
I’ve been quiet here because I’ve been finishing up my fantasy/romance book The Iron Hex. It’s the first book in The Iron Hex trilogy and I am so so excited to be able to talk about my agent for the trilogy!
(It’s been a busy first three months of 2025, haha)
Jenny Bent (who is so amazing and was my top choice!) and I are going to get this book out on submission very very soon and I am eager and hopeful that we’ll be able to get it out to you all so so soon. Publishers — if you’re reading this, hit Jenny up!
Here’s what to expect from The Iron Hex: magic, romance, former guard in love with his assignment, missing royalty, loyal knight (to a fault), corrupt empire, and so, so much more.
I’ll be posting the blurb soon for you all, but for now I’ll leave you with this post.
My number one dream has always been to become an author. Little Victoria (see below), had always been a voracious reader and had always had stories rattling around in her head. My Dad does this thing where he kept everything my brother and I ever made as kids and there are stories in there that I wrote when I was like…4? It’s been THE dream for me, and I feel like we’re so so close to making it happen. Crying writing this and thinking about little Victoria — I think she’d be so proud of me.
I love The Iron Hex and I think you’ll all love it too, I cannot WAIT for you to meet these characters and hopefully love (or love to hate) them.
With love,
Victoria
I just am so happy for you!!! 🥹 you made your dreams come true!!! Well done!!!!
